Servo Positive
Displacement Filling
Systems
Serves all
industries form pharmaceutical, cosmetic, dairy,
chemical, food, etc. Both thin and thick
products, with even very large particulates can all
be filled on this machine. Cosmetic creams as
well as thick, chunky sauces at pasteurized temperatures
can all be filled.
This is the
flagship filler of Inline
Filling Systems. It is extremely flexible
and designed to fill almost any product in any fill
volume--even 55 gallon drums can be filled.
Sanitary
construction handles any food, dairy, cosmetic, or
hot temperature products. Fill size changeovers are
instantaneous by computer control; operator setup is
greatly simplified. This filler can fill almost
anything that can be pumped
How
It Works:
The heart of this system is individual, computer
controlled, positive displacement pumps like those
shown here. the pumps are specifically chosen to
optimize the accuracy and handling characteristics
of your products.
Some
food products have large particulates and are filled
at hot temperatures. The five-lobe stainless
sanitary pumps shown here are ideal for that
application.
Other
sanitary applications like viscous cosmetic and
biomedical preparations may have a greater need for
accuracy at small fill volumes where little to no
particulates are present. Sanitary gear pumps with
1/2 gram accuracy would be used in this case.
Pumps
for non sanitary applications like petrochemical
products can be specifically optimized for viscosity
and accuracy. Inexpensive gear pumps are typically
used here.
The
final picture shows positive shutoff sanitary
nozzles that operate independently in conjunction
with the operation of the individual pump assigned
to it. When each nozzle has finished metering the
prescribed fill volume, it will shut off independent
of the other nozzles.
These
nozzles have interchangeable tips that can be used
to maximize throughput in different container
openings. The nozzles can be changed over as well as
completely taken apart with no hand tools.
Note
that these nozzles rest in a holder that allows them
to free float. If the nozzle does not find its way
into the bottle, it will rise out of the holder and
signal the machine to suspend operations, thereby
avoiding a spill and unnecessary downtime.
The
entire fluid path of this system can be cleaned in
place with an automatic clean cycle or disassembled
and cleaned by hand without the need for any hand
tools.
